Ruth Powers' Final Pregnancy

This is the higher risk piece I've been talking about recently. I've finally worked up the skill (and quite frankly, the nerve) to attempt it. As promised, this is dedicated to my dear friend , who has been encouraging my growth in arts and Spirit. Thank you, Riversaw--simply for being there and being a friend.

Ruth considered herself a confident, self assured woman. She was never the type to feel self-conscious in the skimpiest bikini out on the beach. In the plainest of street clothing--jeans and a sweater--she carried herself with great poise and grace, giving off an air of strong beauty even when unpacking boxes in a new home.

But one thing she'd never done was pose nude. She holds no judgment against women who pose nude, in fact she thinks artists can render the female form into a work of such stark beauty that even the most prudish people would forget their reservations. However, she'd never posed that way herself--even for her husband, in our Simpsonverse, Father Sean (fan-surname Lynch), who is something of an artist himself.

At Ruth's request, this picture was done. Near the end of her final pregnancy (with Riversaw's fancharacter Chaim), she realized that the opportunity of posing for an artist while pregnant, a form she considers most beautiful in other women, would never happen again. So, she convinced Sean to do a sketch. To tease her a bit, he threw in an outdoor background. Ruth would like everyone to know that, NO she did not pose outside for this picture! "Sure, there's a privacy hedge in the background, Sean! But you'd never get me to go naked outside...Unless we were on a European beach somewhere!"
